Go into Firefox's Safe Mode and disable Firefox's use of hardware acceleration for graphics. I don't know what other info would be needed so please let me know and I will provide it. I am doing additional research, there may be other reasons it happened. To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
