My take: DVD drive (hardware) is rarely a problem. "It's the software, stupid!" It took 4 full productive days of my life to work-around this problem. Use emelFM to browse the files on the DVD drive. Never, never, never install InCD. It seems as though something changed when I installed the first replacement. Sorry, there was a problem flagging this post. I deleted the high and low filters and still can't get Sims to work.

Your computer details say windoze 2000. Dvd Drive Fixer so I didnt really want to go straight to regedit because it has been rare that I have to mess with things like that and I dont want to mess it Perhaps it's burned results have errors, which are outside of the "error tolerance" when the drive is used to try and re-read the discs it has burned. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed with regard to the computer.

I decided to do another one today, burned normally and popped it into my dvd player on my tv and it read disk error. I can finally use my CD/DVD/RW player! I should think that running a Live CD would allow you to read discs on the drive.
